Pergi

1st August, Sat. 2009 ~ I missed the opportunity to watch Talentime movie by the late storyteller Yasmin Ahmad at the theater. So I tengok cerita ni kat Astro Box office Channel 952. I was taken with all of her movies soudtrack and dalam film ni, semua lagu best-best belaka. Before this, I dengar jer lagu Aizat 'Pergi' in Bahasa Melayu, but never had the chance to fully listen and indulge in the movie itself. Apart from Aizat's version of I Go by Pete Teo, (English version) another poignant number is O Re Piya by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Angel , by Atillia. Malaysia, whether we realized it or not, has just lost one icon it can be proud of. But, her legacy lives on.
